Maine Legislation

LD_802 - An Act to Improve End-of-Life Care in the State  Landmark legislation passed by the 120 Maine Legislature in 2001. This omnibus bill included mandated hospice coverage for all insurance carriers, set a special rate for Medicaid hospice, created the "Maine Center for End-of-Life Care", provided for professional education and the establishment of baseline data and standardized assessment tools, and appropriated state funds to support volunteer hospice programs.

Federal Legislation

HR 5613 - To extend certain moratoria and impose additional moratoria on certain Medicaid regulations through April 1, 2009.
