Heather Wilson, of Weatherbee Resources will be presenting the "New Conditions of Participation: What You Need to Know" adapted from Weatherbee's "Hospice Regulatory Boot Camp" and its online product "CoP by CoP."  This program is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the new hospice regulations and suggestions for what they need to do to get ready.

  •  Regulatory agencies (Medicare / Mainecare / DHHS / BES)

  •  Discharge planners

Program Objectives

  1. Participants will be able to describe the current status of the new regulations and the compliance deadlines.
  2. Participants will detail the connections between initial and comprehensive assessments, the plan of care and the hospice’s QAPI program
  3. Participants will explain the most significant differences between the old and the new regulations.

PARKING - Please note that there are two free parking lots for participants of this event -- the Congress Street Parking Garage which is attached to the Maine Medical Center via cross-walk, and the large visitor parking lot next to the Dana Center.  Both site have lots of spaces, but will require a few minutes of walking to get to the Dana Center either indoors -- through the MMC campus -- or outdoor across the parking lot.  Please allow time for parking.
