The Annual Maine Hospice Council Retreat was held at the Sugarloaf Resort this year on Halloween weekend. As in previous years the event was well attended and all were treated to a weekend of fellowship, education, and of course fun. The theme was "Behind the Veil" Shining Light on Sensitive Matters in End of Life Care. Along with inspirational workshops attendees were offered the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the mountains of Maine. On Halloween a costume dinner was held and very much enjoyed by all. Presentations included; A workshop to address the dislocation and isolation children often feel when a parent, sibling or other significant person in their lives is actively dying and a celebration to bring a conclusion to the weekend.
