Dan R Michaud  1953-1985Born in Brunswick. Great husband and father of 4 children. Dan loved family and friends. He was a founding member of MARA, an organization that has been a sponsor and has provided volunteers for the DMMR from it's earliest years. Dan was first cousin to Carol (Coulombe) Legare, Tom's wife.  Dan died of cancer in 1985.  The Merrymeeting Wheelers Bicycle Club (MWBC) took on the Dan Michaud Memorial Ride (DMMR) as one it's original and primary events from the time the club started.

 

 

David L. Rose died on May 31, 1998 of cancer. He was born on May 15, 1960, the son of Robert L and Nancy Monaghan Rose. David graduated from Mt. Ararat High school in Topsham in 1978 and received a bachelor's degree in political science and history from the University of Maine at Orono in 1982. He married Jill C. Vile on Bailey Island on June 15, 1991. David was a lobsterman and led a crew planting trees along the east coast from Georgia to Maine. He enjoyed the outdoors, the ocean, hiking, camping, his family and friends, his golden retriever Souk, golf and the stock market.

This memorial has been placed by his friends in the Merrymeeting Wheeler's Bicycle Club.
